Built by people who have done this beforeBackpack Jack is a small, local studio run by Wyatt Megla, a designer who's been building things since he was 9 years old and hasn't stopped since.
Over the past decade, Wyatt led design at Brighter Vision, helped consolidate it through acquisition into EverCommerce, was part of the team that took EverCommerce public on the NASDAQ, and played a central role in the strategic sale of the EverConnect division to Ignite Visibility, the deal that made them the largest privately held marketing agency in the country.
After years of building for companies at every scale, he's now building for the ones that deserve it most: small businesses whose owners are excellent at what they do and done dealing with their website.
That's the whole pitch. No agency overhead. No junior designer handling your project. Just someone who's done this at every level, now doing it for you.
No calls, no obligation. Fill this out and we'll follow up within one business day with a tier recommendation and next steps.

Everything runs through two forms: the Discovery Intake Form at the start of the project, and the Edit Request Form for changes after launch. You tell us what you need in writing, we build it, you review it in writing, we refine it. Nothing gets lost in a phone call, nothing gets misunderstood, and neither of us has to block off 45 minutes for a meeting that could have been a form. Clients who are skeptical of async work are usually converted by the end of the first project.
That's what the edit rounds are for. Microsite clients get two pre-launch rounds, Website clients get three, and Custom clients get six. Our intake form is thorough enough that major surprises are rare, but if something isn't right, we fix it. What we don't offer is a refund after work has begun. The setup fee covers the build, and once we've confirmed your intake form and started the work, that commitment stands on both sides.
No. Your monthly retainer is month-to-month after launch. We keep your business by doing good work, not by locking you into a contract. The setup fee is the only upfront commitment. After that, you're free to stay because you want to, not because you have to.
Most clients are launched within four weeks of submitting their intake form. The timeline is mostly determined by how quickly you turn around feedback, and our current client load. We don't let builds sit on our end and are very communicative about blocks.

Hosting, SSL, Webflow infrastructure management, and your monthly edit credits (fulfilled within five business days). Everything your site needs to stay healthy, current, and working, without you touching a thing.
WordPress is the industry default because it's free and familiar, not because it's better. It carries real tradeoffs: plugin bloat, security vulnerabilities, a design ceiling that shows at the SMB price point, and a codebase that becomes a liability over time. Webflow gives us full design fidelity, a CMS you can actually edit without breaking anything, and cleaner code under the hood. For the kind of work we do, it's the right platform. Full stop.
The setup fee is due upfront before work begins; that's what confirms your project slot and funds the build. There's no installment plan for the setup fee itself. That said, the monthly retainer starts after launch, and annual billing saves 20% for clients who want to lock in the lower rate.
